How to Volunteer
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, you will need to submit a volunteer application. If you are under 18 years of age, we will require a signature from a parent or legal guardian. Click here for a PDF copy of our volunteer application. Applications can also be picked up at the shelter.

Areas where volunteer help is needed
Animal Care:
Cleaning cat or dog cages and crates
Feeding
Socializing animals
Walking dogs
Training dogs
Transporting animals to vet as needed
Grooming animals

General cleaning at shelter
Sweeping/mopping/dusting
Laundry
Cleaning food and water bowls
Storing/arranging food and supplies

Office help
Answering phones/mail
Entering info into computer
Taking pictures of animals for paper and Petfinder
Mass mailings

Fundraising
Board member
Assisting with individual events (see examples below)
- Auction
- Pet Photos with Santa
- Dog Washes
- Fall dog walk
- Spare Change campaign with grade school and jr. high
